 ⇒ x + 15 = 2y + 25

  • 3y° and (2y + 25)° are alternate interior angles.
  • (2y + 25)° and (x + 15)° are vertically opposite angles.

Now,

3y = (2y + 25) [alternate interior angles]

→ 3y - 2y = 25

y = 25

(2y + 25) = (x + 15) [vertically opposite angles]

  • y = 25

→ 2(25) + 25 = x + 15

→ 50 + 25 = x + 15

→ 75 - 15 = x

60 = x

So, the value of x is 60 .
