i) The magnetic field produced by the current in solenoid is similar to the magnetic field of bar magnet, so, the field light goes from north to south,when it goes towards south pole, the magnetic line diverges and when reached south, it seems to converge.

ii) The current carrying solenoid acts as a magnet and when it is suspended freely, it shows its directional property similar to a magnet and it rests along south-north direction
