= 24 ohm

According to ohm's law

V = IR

12 = I* 24

12/24 = I

1/2 = I

then,

R2 = 8 ohm

I = 1/2A

so,

ohm's law,

V = I*R2

= 1/2 * 8

= 4 v

so the answer is 12v
