y^2-y-6=0

y^2-3y+2y-6=0

y(y-3)+2(y-3)=0

y=-2,3

Here's the Factorisation :

- y - 6

= -3y + 2y - 6

= y(y - 3) + 2( y - 3)

= (y + 2)(y - 3)

The above quadratic polynomial has been factorized .

If we find its zero then ,

y + 2 = 0

=> y = -2

And

y -3 = 0

=> y = 3
