Answer:

When you blow up a balloon, you are adding molecules of gas into it. The result is that the volume of the balloon increases – and in order to do this, you decrease the number of molecules in your lungs (which decreases their volume)! A bicycle pump does the same thing to a bicycle tire.

Answer:

Applications of Avogadro's law

  • To determine the atomicity of gases like H_{2} ,N_{2},Cl_{2}
  • To determine the molecular formula of the gas
  • To relate molecular mass and vapour density

Explanation:

Avogadro's law says that the equal volume of all gases at the same temperature and pressure have an equal number of moles.

That is,    V  ∝  n

where the pressure (P) and temperature(T) is constant.

V is the volume of gas

n is the number of moles

Avogadro's law can explain Gay Lussac's law of combining volumes. And also relate gram molecular mass and gram molar volume of the gas at STP.
