what is the application of PHOTOLYTIC DECOMPOSITION????

1- metals like Na,Mg, can be obtained from their chlorides.

2-non metals like Cl,Br can be obtained from chlorides bromides etc

Its application is that when compounts such as agbr and agcl exposed to sunlight they simply decompose into two compounds without the interference of any electricity chemical apparatus. Hope it helps u!!
