What is the approach to using library resources to meet the needs of your students and faculty?

As the world has progressed, our lives have completely changed from computers to cell phones, social media etc.
Similarly, our Libraries too, need to change. E.g. in today's world, a library cannot just have physical books.
Library should consist of a good collection of e-books, electronic recording of audio and visual media, and be developed in such a way that is it is highly accessible for people with disabilities
With improvement in education, many educational institutions have their own libraries. While schools have smaller libraries, colleges and universities have larger ones. Additionally, the government has also set up community libraries for the residents. Despite the benefits of using library resources, not many students or faculty members make full use of them, for a variety of reasons.
1. To begin with, if the library is far away, it takes money and effort on part of the student or teacher to get there.
2. Similarly, if the library is under-stocked and not well maintained, people will not find the information they need, nor will they have the motivation to come to the library the next time they need help.
3. Yet another factor is time. In today’s rushed world, individuals might not find enough time to physically go to the library and look up books.
These issues can be handled with the help of the government and institution authorities. For instance, in order to completely eliminate the hassles of travelling to a library, the books can be accessed electronically, through the library’s e-library programme. The government has already initiated such online libraries. It is easier to search for information in databases rather than doing so by looking through the books physically. The catalogue should be updated from time to time. If technology is used to help students and teachers access information, the number of people using the library resources is sure to increase.
