a potencial resource of the olden times was biofuel. at that time, it was a waste cuz not much petroleum products were used then. But now the soaring prices of petroleum has made people use biofuel. So what i meant is that biofuel was discovered long ago and was considered a potential resource. But now it is being hsed and is therefore an actual resource. Petroleum and natural gas are examples of actual resources.

1)Potential resource :are those resource which are not being used at present but can be used in the future and their entire quantity is unknown.
non conventional resources like-- solar, wind, uranium found in Ladakh, coal aquarium..etc.

2)Actaual resource:are those resource which are being used at present and their quantitiy is known.
Example:  deposits of coal in Ruhr region of Germany and pertroleum in West Asia, Water, oil, trees, fish, minerals..etc.
