We know that ,

Radius \:  =  \frac{Diameter}{2}

radius =  \frac{8}{2}

➪︎ radius = 4 \: cm

area \: of \: circle = \pi {r}^{2}

area =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 4 \times 4

➪︎ area \:  = 50.2857 {cm}^{2}
