Abscissa Value is rcos\theta

Step-by-step explanation:

Given value of r = a

  • It's the circle x^2+y^2=a^2

r=2acos\theta

r^2=2a(rcos\theta)

x^2+y^2=2ax which on solving gives

(4\pi-33-\sqrt 6)a^2

Using x^2+y^2=2ax

( ∵rcos(\theta) is the abscissa of any point with respect to some value of \theta)

(x-a)^2+y^2=a^2

Which is a circle centered at (a,0) having the same the radius.

When a = 5 then refer figure.
