perimeter =2(l+b)

32=2(10+b)

32-20=2b

12/2=b

6=b

area=lb

=10×6

=60m²

Given that:

  • Length of a rectangle is 10 m.
  • Perimeter of the rectangle is 32 m.

To Find:

  • What is the area of a rectangle?

Formula used:

  • Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)
  • Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

Finding the length of the rectangle:

ㅤ↠ㅤ32 = 2(10 + Breadth)

ㅤ↠ㅤ32/2 = 10 + Breadth

ㅤ↠ㅤ16 = 10 + Breadth

ㅤ↠ㅤBreadth = 16 - 10

ㅤ↠ㅤBreadth = 6

Finding the area of the rectangle:

ㅤ↠ㅤArea = 10 × 6

ㅤ↠ㅤArea = 60

Hence,

  • The area of the rectangle is 60 m².
