Answer:

length of rectangle=12 cm

perimeter of the rectangle =2(l+b)= 169cm

2(12+b)=169

24+2b=169

2b=169-24=145

b=145/2=72.5 cm

area of a rectangle= l*b

=12*72.5 = 880 cm^2

hope this helps u!!

Solution:

Area of rectangle : 169 cm sq.

Length of it : 12 cm

Let the breadth be : x cm

We know that,

Area of rectangle : Length x Breadth

[Note:

  • Perimeter of the rectangle : 2[l+b]
  • Try to place an alphabet in place of the number which isn't mentioned.]

ACCORDING TO THE QUESTION:

12 X x = 169 [Question]

=> 12x = 169 [Multiplication of x and 12]

=> x = 169/12 [Changing of 12 from RHS to LHS]

Required Answer:

Therefore, length of the rectangle is 169/12.
