Given : length and breadth of rectangle is 12cm and 6cm

To Find :  area of a red triangle

Solution:

Area of rectangle = length * breadth

length = 12 cm

breadth = 6 cm

Area of rectangle = 12 * 6 = 72 cm²

Diagonal Divided Rectangle in 2 Equal area triangles

Area of Red triangle =  (1/2) Area of rectangle

= (1/2) * 72

= 36 cm²

or area of red triangle = (1/2) * bas e* height

= (1/2) * 12 * 6

= 36 cm²

area of a red triangle  = 36 cm²
