Let the first Diagonal of the rhombus = D1

Then the second diagonal of the rhombus = D2

Now , the area of this rhombus =

½ × D1 × D2

For more understanding , take an example :

Given that the length of the first Diagonal of the rhombus is = 10 cm and the second diagonal is =5 cm . Find the area of this rhombus .

Solution :

Diagonal 1 = 10 cm

Diagonal 2 = 5 cm

Area = ½ × D1 × D2 = ½ × 10 × 5 = 25 cm² .
