Given :   a rhombus with side 10 cm and length of the diagonal 16 cm

To Find   : area of a rhombus

1️⃣ 80 sqcm

2️⃣ 128 sqcm

3️⃣ 48 sqcm

4️⃣ 96 sqcm

Solution:

Diagonals of rhombus bisect each other at right angles

Diagonal 1  = 16 cm

Half of diagonal = 16/2  = 8 cm

√10² - 8²  = 6 cm  ( half of other diagonal)

=> other diagonal = 12 cm

area of a rhombus  = (1/2) * product of diagonals

= (1/2) * 16 * 12

= 96 cm²
