Sorry but if you have to find the area of right triangle you have to use this formula

( 1/2× product of its legs ) sq.unit

Example = The area of a right triangle is 40 cm². If one of its legs measures 8 cm, find the length of the other leg.

Answer - let the length of the other leg be h cm.

then, area of the triangle is = ( 1/2×8×h )

= (4 h) cm²

but ,area of the triangle = 40 cm² (given)

.•. 4h= 40 -- h = 40/4 = 10.

Hence the length of the other leg is 10 cm
