To find the area of the path:

width of horizontal path is 2 m and length of horizontal path is 60 cm,

2m=200 cm,

So area of the horizontal path=l*b=200*60 cm,

12000 cm² or 120 m².

So the width of  the vertical path is 4 m and length of the vertical path is 20 m,

So area=l*b=20*4,

80 m,

So, the total area of the path = (120+80)-4*2

(we should subtract 4*2 from the total the area because the small block between horizontal and vertical path will be counted 2 times)

200-8,

192 m² is the area of the path.
