as a quadrant is the quarter of the circle,its area=1/4 of that of the circle
1/4*pi*r²
where r is the radius

We know that area of a circle = πr²
The angle subtended by a quadrant on the centre of the circle = 90° or 1/4 of the total circle
Thus, area of a quadrant = 1/4πr²
