In the diagram u can see
1 square and 4 triangles
let's find the area of the square = side²
= 3²= 9 sq.cm
now we find area of triangle = 1/2 base × height
= (3 × 2.5)/2
= 7.5 /2
= 3.75 sq.cm
area of four triangles = 4 ×3.75= 15 sq. cm
area of the diagram = area of square + area of the four triangles
= 9 sq.cm + 15 sq.cm
= 24 sq.cm
