Answer:

perimeter of a square= 4 × sides

4 × side = 40m

side = 40÷4

side = 10m

area of the square = side^2

=10 × 10

= 100m^2

Given :-

  • A square whose side = 40m

 \:

To find :-

  • What is the area of the square.

 \:

Formula Used :-

♣️ Perimeter Of Square Formula :

 \: \pink{ \boxed{ \bf Perimeter_{(Square)} \:  =  \: 4×Side}}

♣️ Area Of Square Formula :

 \: \pink{ \boxed{ \bf Area_{(Square)} \:  =  \: Side×Side}}

 \:

Solution :-

First, We have to find the side of the square :

Given :

  • perimeter = 40m

According to the question by using formula we get,

 \implies \bf Perimeter_{(Square)} \:  =  \: 4×Side

\implies \sf \: 40m\:  =  \: 4×Side

 \displaystyle\implies \sf \:   \cancel\frac{40}{4} \:  =  \:Side

 \displaystyle\implies \sf \:  10 \:  =  \:Side

\displaystyle\implies \bf \: \purple{Side  \:  =  \: 10m}

Hence, the side of the square is 10m .

 \:

Now, We have to find the area of the square :

 \implies \:  \bf Area_{(Square)} \:  =  \: Side×Side

 \implies \: \sf Area_{(Square)} \:  =  \: 10 \times 10

 \implies \: \bf  \red{Area_{(Square)} \:  =  \: 100 }

∴ Hence, the required perimeter of the square is 100 .
