Given, Length of the rectangle = a units
Breadth of rectangle = b units.
By Observations,
We can say that
Base , Height = a, b ( in any order )
So, Area of The triangle = 1/2 ( Base ) ( Height) = 1/2ab .
The Area of largest triangle that can be put in the given rectangle is 1/2ab that is half the area of rectangle.
Hope helped

Given -> Length of rectangle = a units
Breadth of rectangle = b units
To find- >Area of the largest triangle =?
Solution : Here, the triangle which has its base as the length of the rectangle and its height as the breadth of the rectangle will be the largest triangle that can be fitted in the rectangle.
So, by consideration we can conclude that the base of the triangle is a units and the height of the triangle is b units.
We know that,
Area of a triangle =
Ans: Therefore, the area of the largest triangle that can be fitted into a rectangle is 1/2 ab
