Step-by-step explanation: Area of rectangle is l×b

So we put the value of length and breadth of silver rectangle. and subtracting from the area of the square.

As,the Dimensions of a A4 size is 29.7cm×21cm.

So, the largest square can be formed will be of dimensions: 21cm×21cm.

Now, Area of A4 ,Length ×Breadth =29.7cm×21cm

=623.7cm²

And, area of largest square, side×side=21cm×21cm

=441cm²

So,Area of the leftover rectangle

=(623.7-441)cm²

=182.7cm²

OR

A4 paper  size  = 210  mm * 297   mm

Area of A4 Size paper = 210 * 297  =   62370 mm²

Largest square that  can be cut  = 210 mm * 210 mm

area of largest square cut  = 44100 mm²

area of the leftover silver rectangle  = 62370  - 44100

= 18270 mm²

or area of the leftover silver rectangle  = 210 * 297 - 210 * 210

= 210 ( 297 - 210)

= 210 * 87

= 18270 mm²

So it should be either 180 or 182.7.
