Answer:  area of rectangle= 24*7=  168 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

let the rectangle be named ABCD

assuming,AB=24 cm & AC=25 cm

As  angle B = 90 degree                                     (property of rectangle)

applying pythagoras theorem in triangle ABC we get,

AB^2 + BC^2 = AC^2

(24)^2 + BC^2 = 25^2

BC^2 = 625-576

BC^2 = 49

BC = 7 cm

area of rectangle = L*B

                             = 24*7

                             = 168 cm^2
