Answer:

Note: Please see attached image to understand properly

area of shaded part = area of ABCD - area of DAE - area of DCF

Firstly, AE = CD - BE = 3 - 2 = 1cm

Similarly, CF = 6 - 2 = 4cm

Area of ABCD = l * b = 3 * 6 = 18 sq cm

Area of DAE = b * h / 2 = AE * DA / 2 = 1*6/2 = 3 sq cm

Area of DCF = b * h / 2 = DC * CF / 2 = 3 * 4 / 2 = 6 sq cm

Thus area of shaded region is as follows

18 - 3 - 6 = 9 sq. cm

Hope it helps, Please mark as brainliest :)

area of rectangle =l×b

=6×3

=18cm²

area of 1st triangle=1/2×b×h

=1/2×4×3

=1/2×12

=6cm²

area of 2nd triangle=1/2×b×h

=1/2×6×1

=3cm²

area of shaded region=area of rectangle-(area of 1st triangle+area of 2nd triangle)

=18-(6+3)

=18-9

=9cm²
