Hello Mate,

Here is your answer,

First let's find out the area of the circle,

Area of circle = \pi {r}^{2}

Given that radius (r) = 7cm

\pi {r}^{2} \\  \\  =</p><p></p><p>  \frac{22}{7}  \times  {7}^{2}  \\  \\ 22 \times 7 \\  \\  </p><p></p><p>= <strong><em>154</em></strong><strong><em> </em></strong><strong><em>{</em></strong><strong><em>cm</em></strong><strong><em>}</em></strong><strong><em>^</em></strong><strong><em>{</em></strong><strong><em>2</em></strong><strong><em>}</em></strong><strong><em> </em></strong><strong><em>

Now let's find out area of the total square,

Area of square =  {side}^{2}

As radius of circle is 7cm,

Side of the square = 7 x 2

= 14cm

Area of square =

 {14}^{2}

 <strong><em>= 196 {cm}^{2}</em></strong>

Area of shaded part =

Area of square - Area of circle

= 196 - 154

= 42 {cm}^{2}

Hope it helps:)
