What is the area of the square if the length of its diagonal is 3.6 cm

let side of square =x
by Pythagoras theorem
x^2 +x^2={3.6}^2
2x^2=12.96
x^2=6.48
area =x^2 =6.48 cm^2

area of the square when diagonal is given=root2×a
=root2 ×3.6
=3.6under root2
