Area of rectangle= 10 × 8 cm^2 = 80 cm^2
∆ ADE and rectangle ABCD lie on same base AD and between same parallels AD and BC.
Therefore, area of ∆ ADE= 1/2× 80 cm^2 = 40 cm^2
