The area of the traingle in the given diagram is 1/2(  √(x²₂ + y₂²) *√(x₁²+y₁²) ).

The area can be calculated as follows:

As per the question,

Coordinates of base of the traingle = (x₂ - 0),(y₂ - 0)

Coordinates of height of the traingle = (x₁ - 0),(y₁ - 0)

Also, we know that the area of triangle is = 1/2(b*h)

Now,

Length of the base (b) = √(x₂ - 0)² + (y₂ - 0)²)  = √(x²₂ + y₂²)

Length of the height (h) = √(x₁ - 0)² + (y₁ - 0)²)  = √(x₁²+y₁²)

Substituting the values of b and h, we get,

Area of traingle = 1/2(b*h)

                          = 1/2(  √(x²₂ + y₂²) * √(x₁²+y₁²))
