What is the area of the triangle of sides 4 cm, 14 cm and 20 cm?

(See the question as tricky! Think a bit before doing it using Heron's formula!)

no triangle is formed. hence area is zero. because the sum of two sides is not larger than third side

Rachana21: Waah nice
Rachana21: thanks
shadowsabers03: Well done. Right answer.
shadowsabers03: Area is not zero. Area can't be written. Area would be square root of negative.
Rachana21: why, please explain
prabhanukumarpcs0dg: tomorrow.yes, the area is not dedined not zero
shadowsabers03: Consider the three sides. If the largest side among the three is less than the sum of other two sides, the triangle can be drawn. If, not, can't be.
prabhanukumarpcs0dg: yes
Rachana21: yup
