The association of tiger and deer is the association between ‘prey and a predator’.

In an ecosystem there are a number of food chains that prevails amongst the food chain the plants are usually producers as they produce their own food, the herbivores are primary consumers and the carnivores are secondary consumers.

On the same note the deer which are the herbivores are considered to be primary consumers or the prey and the tiger which is a carnivore is said to be a secondary consumer.
