Answer:

The atomic mass will be 100 u.

Explanation:

Suppose '' Y " is an element.

                          Y + O2 - - - - - - - > Ym On

Mass/gram          1      x                         1.08

1 + x = 1.08

x = 1.08 - 1 = 0.08

         1 gram of Y will react with 0.08 grams of oxygen.

Equivalent mass = 8 x 1 / 0.08 = 100 grams of Y

As specific heat capacity of element will be 0.06 cal / C grams

                    Element Y will be ruthenium.
