His was founder-editor of Yojana, The National Herald and Hindustan Times. Khushwant Singh was born in the year 1915 in Hadali, Pakistan. He died on 20th March 2014. He is most famoous for his historical novel 'Train to Pakistan' published in 1956

Khushwant Singh was a famous Indian novelist, journalist, lawyer and politician.He was born in Haldi(punjab),now in Pakistan,he studied law at st.stephen's collage,delhi and later at King's collage,London. His writings reflected real-life experiences. He was well-known fir his wit humour,sarcasm an poetic expression. his famous books are:- The mark of vishu,train to Pakistan,a history of Sikhs, etc.He was honoured with 'padma bhushan in 1974. He died on 20 March 2014.
