Before starting that, let's know what is poverty?

Poverty:- poverty is a state or a situation in which the person is not able to fulfill his basic necessity of his life.

some of the basic necessities are minimum food required to stay, clothes, shelter, having money that that children can go to school and so on.

so as your question is about what is the basic and fundamental reason behind poverty?

Mainly the poverty is because of the growing population.
it is a basic and fundamental reason behind it.

as our population is growing because the death rate is decreasing and the birth rate is increasing at every time.
this increase in population cause great or huge competitions between the labours

so this increase in competitions, result as unemployment in many sectors of the society.

and this unemployment cause poverty . Means the person is not able to fulfill his basic necessities of life to stay alive.

there are many other reasons also behind poverty but the population is one of the basic and fundamental real reason behind it.
