What is the basic difference of endogenous processes and exogenous processes?

The basic difference is that it the endogenous process takes place under th earth's surface whereas the exogeneous process takes place near or on the earth's surface . Example of exogeneous process is glaciation and example of  endogeneous process is movement of tectonic plates.
