The basic unit of filtration in a lung is the alveoli and the basic ‘unit of filtration’ in the kidney is the ‘nephron’.

The ‘nephron’ is made by the renal corpuscle and a ‘renal tubule’ the renal corpuscle in turn is made up of Bowman’s capsule and glomerulus.

It is actively involved filtrating the waste from the blood. The alveoli are small ‘air sacs’ in the lungs which helps in lung filtration.
