In context to questions asked,

We have to determine the sum of given fraction.

As per questions,

We have,

 \frac{1}{4}  +  \frac{2}{7}

As here

the denomination of both the fractions are different, so first we will determine the LCM of 4 and 7.

So, LCM of 4 and 7 will be 28

So, we will multiply the numerator and denominator of first fractions by 7 and numerator and denominator of second fraction by 4.

Hence, we will get,

 \frac{1 \times 7}{4 \times 7}  +  \frac{2 \times 4}{7 \times 4}  \\  =  >  \frac{7}{28}  +  \frac{8}{28}  \\  =  >  \frac{15}{28}

Hence, 15/28 will be simplified value of given expression.
