Population density is the number of people per unit of area(per square kilometer/square meter) but the best explanation for the population density in the red circled area is having high population density,having perceived amenities,economics,water,favourable climate,agriculture ,transportations and those places or region that is comfortable to do business,trade,industry,has all the resources nearby.so, overall,it means red circled areas are those which are exceeding the population graph because of having adequate precipitation.
