Answer:
Most of us love reading books which we can actually relate to, that feeling when we start thinking "Yes, I did this too", "Yes, I have been to a place like this " is a refreshing experience.Swami and his friends is one such book.Though it is set in a different era, we relate to Swaminathan when he is reluctant to go to school on Monday mornings, gets spanked by his teachers at school, has problems with his friends, is reprimanded by his father for roaming out in the afternoons, finds maths difficult and dreams of owning a hoop (it may be a bicycle in the present day scenario) and so on. It is a delightful and ageless novels which even adults would enjoy reading and reminiscing about their childhood.
