High school is a time in life that is meant to build your education. It is also a time in which students meet new friends and live their life to the fullest.

To be successful in the future, you need a good education. It seems as of lately, teenagers have been taking their education for granted. Some high school students are not thankful enough to all of the teachers that devote their time to teach. It comes back to haunt them in many ways, especially in planning for their future.

If you don't apply your education skills towards your grades, then you are limited to a few of the fun extra-curricular activities in high school. Maybe you want to play football to get in good shape, but you won't make the team if you don't focus on your grades. Or you might have good grades, but you could be goofing off and annoying the teachers during class. Coaches and leaders look at your class history and they don't want you on the team if you can't focus on your studies and behavior

The schooling system. It's the reason why year after year, so many unemployable graduates are being produced.

We need to get students to be passionate about what they're learning. With our current education system, students are forced to cram a gargantuan amount information from textbooks. They then regurgitate this information, without having the faintest clue of what they have learned over the year.

Students need to be encouraged to explore beyond the stringent limits of a syllabus. teachers should be facilitators, not sources for an answer. Students should learn to find answers independently, using their deductive ability and occasionally taking a tutor's guidance. They need to find real-life applications to the concepts to become the problem-solvers of tomorrow.

With the technological advancements in recent years, data analysis has become a preferred solution across schools internationally. Companies such as GL Assessment administer test to asses the cognitive capabilities of students. These tests offer a lot of insight into each student, hence enabling teachers to focus and cater to each child's individual needs.

After all, isn't the primary purpose of education to create global citizens with a diversified outlook? The conventional rote-learning methodology starkly contradicts that.
