what is the best way to keep unwanted persons away?
Answers
Answer:
Every one of us think that we can detach ourself from unwanted people in our lives. This is certainly possible, but only temporarily. In a better situation, perhaps we can remove them until the end of our life.
The long term reality is that the very same unwanted people will sooner or later bounce back into our lives. This reality is very difficult to see, unless one fully understands karma and the way it works.
There is, however, surely a way for permanently removing the "unpleasantness", and for ever. I will come to this later, after briefly explain why we normally cannot detach ourselves permanently, through obvious means.
You may not believe in karma. You may not believe in rebirth. But that doesn't prevent the unwanted things to keep coming back to you. They come back in different circumstances and as different personalities too. They keep coming back to your life, in this life or in the next, you believe it or not. The unreleased forces of nature will ultimately get released, and will surely come back to haunt your happiness.
So, what's the permanent way?
The defect or trouble-creating person is never the other one, but you. It's your consciousness. Your consciousness feels yourself as a separate isolated being called "I" and this "I" distinguishes itself from the other "I"s. This brings conflict, isolation, fragmentation, duality and all the other things that bring unpleasantness and sorrow.
What is needed is for you to bring about an understanding - the only true understanding - that the other person is actually not different from you, but another instance (human instance) of the same "you". This means, whatever quality you find in the other person exists in you too, perhaps in a hidden form. When you begin to see yourself in everyone, you begin to realise that humanity is one and not several billion people. Then you begin to empathise and not dislike others, however cruel, unkind and indespicable the others may be towards you. After all, you can never hate yourself and runaway from yourself. That "you" will keep following you like your shadow.
When you begin to understand all this, not just intellectually but actually, and deep in your heart, you come to the state of "love thy neighbours as thyself" as Jesus had said.
That state of consciousness can come only when you actually psychologically detach yourself from the unwanted people; then there simply wouldn't be any unwanted people around! And like the Christ upon the cross, you too will sincerely feel "Pardon him, my God, for he knows not what he is doing".
See, you can't change the world; you can only change yourself!
