Sprinkler irrigation can be a better way of irrigation than tubewells since there are disadvantages in tubewells. They require a regular supply of electricity and farmers have to obtain it from food production. In sprinkler irrigation is no loss of water since water flows out of pipes. Also canals are a good source of irrigation.But tubewells can provide water upto 400 hectares! Drip irrigation is no way inferior to sprinkler irrigation too.
