The carrying value of a bond is the net amount between the bond's face value and any un-amortized premiums or minus any amortized discounts. The carrying value is also commonly referred to as the carrying amount or the book value of the bond.

Answer:
Book Value & written down value is one & the same thing.
It is basically the value calculated as "Original Value of Asset Less Depreciation/amortisation" charged thereon.
Say, for example An asset of Rs 15,000 is purchased & Depreciation of Rs 5,000 has been charged till date then the book value/written down value will be Rs 10,000.
