Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breadth of rectangular swimming pool be x metres.

Then, its length =(2x+2) metres.

We know that the Perimeter of a rectangle =2(Length+Breadth)

=2(2x+2+x)=6x+4

According to the given condition, we have

6x+4=154

⇒6x=154−4           ..[By transposing 4 to RHS]

⇒6x=150

⇒

6

x

=

6

150

         ...[Dividing both sides by 6]

⇒x=25

Thus, breadth =25 m and length =25×2+2=52 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

Perimeter = 250 m

Let the breadth of the garden (B) = x

So, Acc. to Ques

Length (L) = 2x + 5 m

We know, Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L + B)

Put value of L and B in 2( L +B )

2(L + B) → 250 m

  2(2x + 5 + x) = 250

 2(3x + 5) = 250

6x + 10 = 250

6x = 250 - 10

6x = 240

x =  \frac{240}{6}

x = 40

So,

Breadth = x = 40 m

Length = 2x+5 = 2(40)+45

= 80+4 → 85
