Zener breakdown voltage is the voltage which occurs when a reverse Bias Voltage of high value as compared to the predetermined voltage is applied through the circuit.

The breakdown of zener diode voltage means that the zener diode starts working in the reverse bias condition.

5.6 v is a general value for zener diode breakdown voltage but this value can range from 1.2 volt to 200 volts.

The Zener diodes which are lightly doped have a high value of breakdown as compared to highly doped Zener diodes.

The Zener diodes which are lightly doped generally have Avalanche effect rather than having a zener diode voltage breakdown because of their composition of light doping.

Breakdown voltage only refers to those Zener diodes which are highly doped.
