cabinet under a presidential system of government is part of the executive branch. In addition to administering their respective segments of the executive branch, cabinet members are responsible for advising the head of government on areas within their purview.

hello frnd...^_^

Parliamentary democracy envisages a cabinet form of government with a president as a titular head (and a governor in the states) with responsibility of ministers to the parliament.

The will of the people as expressed through the parliament, is executed through the ‘executive’ consisting of the political executive and the administrative bureaucracy. All executive action is taken in the name of the president of India in the case of the central government (or the governor in the states). All executive action taken in his name must be in accordance with the Constitution.

The Indian Constitution provides for a council of ministers to aid and advice the president in the exercise of his functions. In effect, it is the council of ministers which is supreme in administering the subjects listed under Union responsibility and correspondingly so in the states.
