What is the capital of Ukraine?
Answers
Answer:
Ukraine, country located in eastern Europe, the second largest on the continent after Russia. The capital is Kyiv (Kiev), located on the Dnieper River in north-central Ukraine
Kyiv (Kiev)
Kyiv or Kiev is the capital and most populous city of Ukraine. It is in north-central Ukraine along the Dnieper River. Its population in July 2015 was 2,887,974, making Kyiv the seventh-most populous city in Europe. Kyiv is an important industrial, scientific, educational and cultural center of Eastern Europe.
Its goal is to persuade English language media and organizations to use Kyiv (derived from the Ukrainian language name) instead of Kiev (derived from the Russian language name) as the name of the Ukrainian capital.
While Kiev is probably best known for its historical connection to the Old Rus' polity, a historical predecessor to the modern Russian state, Kiev is an important modern center for industry, education, and culture for not only modern-day Ukraine, but all of Eastern Europe.
