Answer:

K+ is a cation because it donate it's electron to another atom Cl- then Cl is anion because it accept it's electron and become negative charge .

KCl reaction goes to K+ + Cl -

Answer:

K+ cl-

as atomic no of k= 19

electronic configuration of k = 2,8,8,1

one extra electron in outermost shell so it has positive

so here k is cation

atomic no of cl = 17

electronic configuration of cl = 2,8,7

so it has deficiency of 1 electron in outermost cell .. so it has negative .. so here cl is anion

k is cation

cl is anion

you can think as k wants to get rid of its extra electron and cl wants to gain extra elctron to be stable.. hence they form bonds.

so one which donates or give is cation

one which accepts or takes is anion..

Cation देता है

anion लेता है
