there will be so many cause of friction such as 1 mass 2 velocity third is it should be follow newton third law that is every action has a reaction suppose any body which has no mass then there will be no friction and if mass is present but if the body has no velocity then friction will not occur there
and the main cause ia rubbing when we rub two substance to each other then friction will be produce there becase according to newton third law when we exerts a force on forward then another object also exert a backward force on it and here friction is produced
