Acid rain is the main cause of yellowing of Taj Mahal. The amount of acid in water droplets need to be less this only can happen if gases like carbon dioxide sulphur dioxide etc,.. amount decreased in the air.

Answer:

Taj is getting yellow in colour because it is made up of marble (a calcium compound). So as it is exposed in open air due to the pollutants like Sulphur dioxde and other pollutants it is reacting and the marble is corroding slowly.

the solution for this problem is that we need to have control on release of these gases means controlling the pollution of air and not let acid rain to fall on it.

hope it helps
