Explanation:

the Sulphur dioxide and Nitrogen dioxide react with atmospheric moisture to form sulphuric acid and nitric acid .This acid dissolved in water and come down as rain.....the acid in the rain react with calcium carbonate of marble and degrade it the phenomenon is called marble cancer
